Drum and bass godfather Goldie finally releasing a greatest hits compilation
A successful DJ, pioneer of drum & bass, respected graffiti and visual artist, co-founder of the wicked cool Metalheadz label, James Bond double-crosser... Goldie has pretty much done it all. And if that wasn't enough, the dude somehow even managed to find time in between championing all his endeavours to date Bjork. Enough said.
Finally releasing a long-overdue "best of" collection, Goldie's musical prowess is getting the spotlight it deserves for the first time in his career. The Alchemist: The Best of Goldie 1992-2012 is a triple-disc musical mayhem of some of the greatest tracks in Goldie's catalogue. The first two discs will be made up of Goldie classics, including "Malice in Wonderland," "Rhythm Killa," and "Angel," and will also feature a brand new track entitled "Single Petal of a Rose." The third disc will consist of various remixes of his tracks, done both by himself and by other producers.
The renaissance man stated, "Having SO many great tracks on this album reminds me of the great times this music has brought me [sic]."
The Alchemist will be released through Metalheadz and Pete Tong's iconic ffrr, and is due to be out on CD and digital download March 11.
