Dream pop siren Tamaryn teases new LP

Mexican Summer, consistently one of Critical Mob's favorite labels, has announced the impending release of the second album by San Francisco-based dream-pop singer-songwriter Tamaryn. Tender New Signs will be out October 16.

Tamaryn, whose debut full-length The Waves came out in 2010, comes from the sheets of reverb school of dream pop, with layers of heavily-processed guitars underpinning her languid vocals. That sound is in full effect on "I'm Gone," the newly released preview from the new album. It's a lovely but dark song; as Tamaryn tweeted this afternoon, "It's not a breakup song, it's not a weeping song. It's a dying song." Beach House or Zola Jesus fans, take note.
