Downtown band Hits release new sound and EP
The artists formerly known as Jump Into the Gospel won't be referring to themselves in symbol form anytime soon. But, they've switched up their sound and band name to the equally un-google-able, Hits.
With an upcoming self-titled EP coming out on June 26, these synth-rock scensters are keeping their same infectious 80's pop sound with the more polished finish of a sophomore effort.
The group is made up of a cherry-picked selection of established artists with singer/guitarist Louis Epstein, guitarist Ben Vescovi, keyboardist Erik Tonnesen (live member of Holy Ghost), bassist Lakis Pavlou, and drummer Chris Stein (former member of the Drums).
They've already gained a notable downtown following with their live shows and they're ready to bring their New York sound to the masses. Check out them out on tour this summer and stream their new single "Madness" from the upcoming EP. Is it too soon to announce a summer anthem?
