Downton Abbey Season 3 trailer is all about disdain for America
Apparently, part of the U.S. breaking away from the U.K.'s rule means we must wait a painful amount of time for the latest season of their hot new TV drama Downton Abbey. While Season 3 of this celebrated series will air this September in Great Britain, Stateside we'll be forced to wait until January 2013 for the show to return to PBS.
A further indignity -- and one that Dowager Countess Violet Crawley would never stand for, mind you! -- is that the latest promo is a bootleg from a commercial aired on British television. Further disdain for Americans can be found below as the Crawleys cringe over the arrival of Cora's mother played by Shirley MacLaine! It's probably best that this video (courtesy of Vulture) doesn't include a scene between she and Maggie Smith; it would just make the wait to January all the more unbearable.
