Dirty Projectors debut new video
In advance of their new album Swing Lo Magellan, due out July 10 on Domino Records, Dirty Projectors have released a video for first single "Gun Has No Trigger." Directed by bandleader David Longstreth, the video plays with the iconography of the old iPod commercials, as well as the blank default images of new social media accounts. It's a simple but effective video that puts the vocals of Longstreth and his bandmates Amber Coffman and Haley Dekle front and center.
The band will perform the song on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on June 19. A special limited edition eight-inch one-sided single, with the song's lyrics translated into Sumerian Akkadian Cuneiform on the flipside, will be released the same day. Because why not.
