Destroyer prep for summer tour
Dan Bejar and Destroyer are going back on the road next month for another American tour, over a year after their last nationwide swing. This will be the group's second tour in support of their most recent album, Kaputt (Merge Records), which was #3 on Critical Mob's 30 Critical Albums of 2011.
The tour is set to kick off June 3 in Seattle and will wrap up 21 shows later in the band's hometown of Vancouver, BC, on June 29. The show will feature the same 8-person lineup who played on the 2011 tour, meaning that the luxurious '80s soft-pop sound of Kaputt will remain the set's musical focus. Given that the artistically restless Bejar will undoubtedly have an entirely different concept for Destroyer's next project, enjoy it while you can!
