Depeche Mode to release some new music for the masses this March
Break out your mesh tank top and chains: Depeche Mode are roaring back to life in 2013 to offer up their first new album since 2009's Sounds of the Universe, the latest in a long line of "return to form" records the legendary synth poppers have been putting out for the past ten years.
When asked about this latest comeback effort, Martin Gore had this to say: "The music has a similar vibe to Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion and I think the songs on the album are among some of the very best we've done." Which should come as a huge relief to you readers who were afraid that the band was going to model the record on their weakest albums for some reason.
Columbia Records will release this as yet untitled disc this March, and you should definitely get it, as it will definitely sound just like their two most popular records, as well as a return to form that will go unparalleled until their next album, when they really start to sound like the '80s again.
