Deerhoof is back catchier than ever in new album
Last year, we praised Deerhoof's LP Deerhoof vs. Evil as the eccentric band's most accessible album yet. We're happy to announce the San Francisco natives have a new album on the way, and you can already stream bits and pieces of it. Head over to their official site, pop a token in the Jingletron, and you'll hear a few snippets from Breakup Song, due September 4 via Polyvinyl. For a record called Breakup Song, these five-second samples aren't the down-in-the-dumps fare you might expect. In fact, they're not joking when they say "jingles"; several of these songs do seem very, very catchy. A preorder (along with a track listing) of the LP is currently available. That's the album art up above.
Deerhoof will be heading on tour this fall, covering North America from early September through mid-November. Those dates are available here.
