Death Cab for Cutie's new box set will help you feel again

We have the facts on the new Death Cab for Cutie box set, which will be released by the Artist in Residence label just in time to celebrate the beloved emo rockers' 15th anniversary -- because that's the age when bands can officially begin just resting on their laurels. And in the interest of completing the above reference, we're voting yes.

The box, which will be limited to 1500 numbered and autographed copies, will feature 180-gram vinyl of everything the band released during their years on the Barsuk label, from 1998's demos compilation You Can Play These Songs With Chords all the way through to 2003's career-making Transatlanticism. All releases except for Transatlanticism have been remastered, probably due to the sound engineer having succumbed to crippling ennui from the previous six records.

Frontman Ben Gibbard is currently touring to support his solo debut, Former Lives, so in the meantime Death Cab fans can use these old favorites as the soundtrack for drunk dialing that cute redhead they dated for two weeks first semester freshman year of college, because even feeling pain is better than feeling nothing, right?
