Crystal Castles wants you to feel the Wrath of God
After releasing "Plague" in July, Crystal Castles are back with "Wrath of God" the second single from the Toronto-based electronic duo's third studio album, appropriately titled, (III).
Crystal Castles is producer Ethan Kath and singer and songwriter Alice Glass. The band spent time in Warsaw earlier this year to record the follow-up to 2010's II. "Wrath of God" should hold you over until November 5, when (III) will be released digitally, and November 6, when you can get your hands on a physical copy of the album.
"Wrath of God" starts out with a sweet little piano melody before buzzes and thumps cut in. Glass's vocals can barely be heard over the music and yet, they're still incredibly powerful. Not to be outdone, Kath conducts a symphony of whistles and whirs as the track ends.
Check out the Crystal Castles' updated North American tour routing, including two new dates, a venue change in Winnipeg and a date change in Toronto, here. You can also check out the cover art for (III) above and stream and download "Wrath of God" below.
