Clare and the Reasons preview new album
Brooklyn-based chamber-pop outfit Clare and the Reasons are previewing their upcoming third album with the new track "The Lake." Recorded in what used to be East Berlin and featuring a rather bleak monochrome cover photo of a Communist-era housing block, the album suggests a slightly darker direction for the band. But "The Lake" features both of the group's key sonic attributes -- Clare Muldaur's delicate vocals and Olivier Manchon's haunting arrangements -- in fine form.
KR-51 will be released July 10 on the band's own Frog Stand label.
