Cindy Sherman at MoMA

Starting February 26, MoMA will be offering up 170 examples from Cindy Sherman's vast body of work, from her ground-breaking Untitled Film Stills to her most recent photo murals. That's a good, long look at an artist whose sensibility so closely resembles the American zeitgeist, she is practically camouflaged.

For decades, Cindy Sherman has served as a one-way mirror: we're looking at her, but we're seeing ourselves. And in a culture so absorbed with it's own image, she is in no danger of depleting her subject matter.

Being able to see so much Sherman in one place is well worth a red circle on your calendar.
