Cherie Currie and Lita Ford bury the hatchet

Blabbermouth has reported a reconciliation between former The Runaways band members Cherie Currie and Lita Ford, facilitated by none other than their former bandmate Joan Jett. As per Currie (and from what we gleaned in The Runaways movie), The Runaways dissolved because of artistic differences: Ford wanted to go in a heavy metal direction (and perhaps resented Currie's central position in the band), while Currie wanted to stick with mainstream rock. While Ford went on to have a fairly successful solo metal career, she and Currie lost touch over the years--  if Currie's gushing facebook post is any indication, this all made for a very touching reunion.

Long before the re-connection with Currie, around the time of The Runaways film release, Ford had expressed interest in a The Runaways reunion-- now that she's buried the hatchet with Currie and Jett seems to be on board with getting the crew back together, could an official reunion be far behind? We'll certainly be keeping our eyes peeled as anything develops.
