Bourne is back…sort of
The first trailer for The Bourne Legacy has finally been revealed, and it looks like the series is in good hands. Jeremy Renner is not starring as Jason Bourne thankfully, but as Aaron Cross, a guy who finds himself in similarly precarious situations that benefit from snappy fighting and editing skills.
Providing some intriguing continuity from the original Bourne trilogy are acting vets Joan Allen, David Strathairn, and Scott Glenn, as well as screenwriter Tony Gilroy, who takes over directing duties this time around. (Gilroy's Michael Clayton was outstanding, but Duplicity, not so much.) And joining Renner in franchise newcomer category are Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz. Let's just say that we're cautiously optimistic.
