Bonnie Prince Billy releasing new single two ways

Bonnie "Prince" Billy, a Critical Mob fave going all the way back to when he was teen actor Will Oldham co-starring in John Sayles' 1987 coal miner drama Matewan, will release the single "Time to be Clear" on Drag City Records on February 28. The song, taken from last year's Wolfroy Goes To Town, is cleverly being released in two forms.

The digital single, available at all the usual outlets, will feature the Wolfroy track and two new songs, "Whipped" and "Out-of-Mind." The vinyl seven-inch, entitled The B-Sides for Time to be Clear, assumes purchasers already have the album and features only the two new songs. It's a great idea that more labels releasing vinyl should adopt.
