Best Coast unveils new album details
After last week's unveiling of Bethany Cosentino's fashion line with Urban Outfitters, here's the news we've really been waiting for. Best Coast's second album will be called The Only Place and is out on Mexican Summer Records May 15.
Produced by Jon Brion, who has worked with everyone from Paul Thomas Anderson to Kanye West, the album reportedly is a more mature and poppier record than the duo's early singles and first album Crazy For You. Three of the album's 11 songs are remakes of tunes that had appeared as downloads or limited-edition singles.
After appearing at SXSW later this month, Best Coast will begin a full-scale North American tour running from May 18 in Los Angeles to July 27 in Chicago, with a one-week detour in mid-June to play a series of UK dates from Glasgow to the Isle of Wight.
