Benefit performance brings Joanna Newsom and Philip Glass together
Good things happen when a charitable cause is involved. Thanks to an upcoming benefit for the Henry Miller Memorial Library, we'll get the privilege of hearing legendary composer Philip Glass perform with folk siren Joanna Newsom.
Along with covering some of each other's famous songs, they'll also be performing original material they've collaborated on. Of course rumors of a possible album are already circulating, but the least we can expect for now, are some live recordings.
Glass and Newsom will take the stage at San Francisco's Warfield Theatre on June 25 and tickets go on sale this Friday. We can only cross our fingers that Glass and Newsom will continue to make beautiful music together.
