Art Clip of the Day: Gerhard Richter behind the scenes
New York's legendary art house cinema Film Forum has held over the very well received doc Gerhard Richter Painting about the German artist so if you haven't had a chance to see it yet you really should. In this clip you get some insight into filmmaker Corinna Belz's dealings with the charming abstractionist and his very matter of fact approach to his art. Apparently the film was nearly scrapped when Richter, a notorious loner, grew annoyed at the intrusions into his process. Thankfully the director didn't give up, providing us with this valuable record.
