Unpublished Wu-Tang comic released, is terrifyingly appealing
As many Wu-Tang Clan fans know, they ain't nothing to eff with: a message that vivdly comes to visual life in a short comic inspired by the 2010 album Wu-Massacre. Apparently, it was supposed to be released alongside the album in correspondence to the comic cover art, but until Animal NY posted the unpublished pages last week, the images had never been seen before.
It was the work of well-known edgy illustrator Chris Bachalo and art director/designer Alex Haldi who brought these Wu-characters to graphic comic life. Unfortunately, the story is unaccompanied by any dialogue, so viewers have to detangle the plot line based on their knowledge of the rap artists -- which could be a fun game if one cares to get creative. Despite the missing text, the panels match the extremophile nature of Wu-Tang's image and are nothing less than terrifyingly appealing.
