Gun Machine will grab your attention with eerie new book trailer
A second (and much creepier) trailer has just been released for author Warren Ellis’ latest thriller, Gun Machine, about a misfit cop who stumbles upon an apartment full of guns, each attached to an unsolved murder.
The first trailer was released a few weeks ago and featured the voice of Will Wheaton describing the eerie room as a pair of hands skillfully sketches the narration.
This second trailer manages to be creepier without even any whispered words to make us check over our shoulders. For the new trailer Ellis teamed up with Brooklyn based filmmaker Clayton Cubitt who shows us two worlds: desolate woods (think a frosty Blair Witch) and a shady street in Chinatown as we follow a man who, well, lets just say you wouldn’t want him to sit next to you on the subway.
As the music swells and surges the two worlds begin to blur together and the sketchy (too put it nicely) man becomes more and more spectral until "GUN MACHINE" flashes onto the screen in red.
The unsettling visual is a nice companion to the already solid reviews the novel is generating, which has led to FOX purchasing the rights to develop the book into a new series.
Informative? Not particularly. Intriguing? Definitely.
