Our writers and editors follow the latest releases from the most significant new artists and connect them to the classic, iconic artists who've influenced and shaped their lives and work. We reveal how musicians, writers, filmmakers, actors, designers, and artists have inspired, influenced, and collaborated with each other to shape their vision and their work.

By choosing just the most critical artists and works, a clearer picture of the cultural landscape appears, free of ephemeral pop trends, corporate products, and pretentious rip-offs. What's left is just the most innovative and original artists and a new perspective on how cultural trends began, and how they continue to evolve today.

Critical Mob was created by a global team of writers and editors working for Tactic Company, a custom editorial content company founded in 2007 by Peter Krause and Paul Parreira, both formerly of digital media pioneer Muze Inc.
