CONTRIBUTOR PROFILE

Adrienne McIlvaine

Adrienne McIlvaine grew up on Long Island, but considers Boston as the place where she discovered how to be herself. Fueled by her early passions for writing, fantasy literature and music that sounds like malfunctioning computer equipment, she studied screenwriting at Boston University, and developed a love of criticism, uncomfortable comedy and art that walks the line between cute and creepy. Now working as a freelance writer and editor, she has written on music and fashion for Joonbug and The Retrospective, and had concert and album reviews featured on URB.com. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her boyfriend, his cat and a growing collection of coffeemaking instruments.
