Moonlighting Musicians: Pop/Rock Artists as Score Composers

It's not uncommon for alternative/indie-pop/rock acts to be featured in movie soundtracks, but it is relatively unusual for such artists to compose full film scores. These albums, which also include compositions written for the theater, not only resonate in the moods of their attendant productions, they stand on their own as compelling music.
