Stephen Cedars
Stephen Cedars is a writer, director and teacher originally from south Louisiana. After graduating from LSU, where he studied just about everything he could find that lacked job prospects, he taught school for several years. When he later settled in Brooklyn, he realized his transcript might be a bit more marketable than he'd thought. On top of freelance writing, teaching, and directing, Stephen has produced his own theatre throughout downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn, in addition to co-producing several years of community arts programming through Brooklyn Arts Council funding. He earned his MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU, in full confidence that yet another liberal arts degree will be the golden ticket.
