A childhood spent parping the trumpet in brass bands failed to convert him into the new Miles Davis or even Rick Braun. An unhealthy obsession with Australian indie music from the '80s aside, he has an even unhealthier willingness to listen to just about any type of music buzzing around in the post-millennial digital world.
