Damian Van Denburgh
Damian Van Denburgh has lived in New York City for more than 25 years, and spent most of that time working in arts-related fields, specifically animation. In addition to having hosted and curated a reading series in the East Village, he has read his work at Borders Books, The Ear Inn, and the Bowery Poetry Club, and has had work published in LIT, EDNA, and Salonika. During recent residencies at the Millay Colony and the MacDowell Colony, he worked on a non-fiction manuscript about his efforts to construct a feasible male identity while growing up as the only boy in an Irish-Catholic family with six sisters. And though he should have accepted it by now, he still finds it frustrating that there's not enough time in the day to read, write, cook, or be with his wife.
