Avram Finkelstein

Avram Finkelstein is an artist and writer living in New York who's produced art, culture and fashion features for Italian Vogue, Dazed and Confused, Visionaire, Artwrit, Van, Dune, Pride and Genre. With the art collective Gran Fury, he collaborated on public art projects for publications, museums and foundations including The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Venice Biennale, ArtForum, The New Museum of Contemporary Art, Creative Time, and The Public Art Fund. His solo work has shown at Exit Art, Sue Scott Gallery, Monya Rowe Gallery, La MaMa La Galleria and The Cooper Hewitt Museum, and is in the permanent collections of MoMA, The New Museum and The Smithsonian. Finkelstein has been interviewed about art, activism and communication in the public sphere by publications including The New York Times, ArtForum and Interview, and has spoken at Harvard, NYU, Exit Art, Fordham, RISD, MassArt, The School of Visual Arts and CUNY.
